Nikwax Waterproofing Wax for Leather offers instant waterproofing, revitalising breathability and maintaining the suppleness of all smooth leather items. It’s easy to apply by hand, non-flammable, and free from PFCs and aerosols. Leather is durable, breathable, and provides excellent support, making it a popular choice for footwear. During the tanning process, agents are added to preserve the leather’s structure and prevent microbial growth. However, when leather gets wet, its breathability decreases, leading to wet feet from condensation.
Additionally, water absorption causes the loss of tanning agents. Nikwax Waterproofing Wax for Leather restores Durable Water Repellency (DWR), preventing leather from absorbing water and ‘wetting out,’ while preserving breathability. It also replenishes tanning agents, ensuring your leather footwear maintains its support without becoming too soft.
